  • Depart DFW/US

  • Fly to Athens, Greece to begin our adventure following the Journeys of Paul and visiting New Testament sites

  • If you plan to do the pre-trip extension to Istanbul you will need to depart by 9/20/2020

Thursday, Sept 24 - Athens

  • Arrive Athens and transfer to the 5-star Athens Hilton

  • Welcome Dinner at Hilton’s Rooftop Galaxy Restaurant – enjoy dinner and getting to know others in our group as the sun sets behind the Acropolis

  • Overnight Athens Hilton

Friday, Sept 25 - Athens - Tour Included

  • Begin day with buffet breakfast

  • Athens City Tour – see world famous landmarks such as the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Olympic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus and Mars Hill where Paul spoke while on his second missionary journey challenging the Greeks on their religious idolatry and their altar to an “Unknown God” (Acts 17:16-34)

  • Group lunch and free time for shopping in the Plaka

  • Group dinner at a local Greek restaurant

Saturday, Sept 26 - Corinth & Port of Piraeus - Tour Included

  • Begin day with buffet breakfast

  • Check-out of our hotel

  • Drive to Corinth for a tour of the Corinth Canal which was constructed from 1881-1893

  • Ancient Corinth Tour – At one time Corinth was one of the most populous and wealthy cities in Greece.  Here you see the remains of marbled streets and the Agora Forum where Paul preached in the shadow of the columns of the Temple of Apollo

  • Lunch on our way to the Port of Pireaus where we’ll board the Star Flyer

  • Sail away at sunset on our great adventure sailing through the Aegean Sea

Sunday, Sept 27 - Santorini - Free Day

  • Santorini is perhaps the most breathtaking of all the Greek Islands 

  •  Around 1500 BC, a volcanic eruption destroyed the center of the island, leaving a crescent shaped rim of cliffs around a harbor formed in the volcano’s caldera   

  • On shore you take a cable car to the ridge of the caldera to visit the village of Fira for great views and shopping or take a scooter or 4-wheeler around to the beautiful town of Oia or just sit in a café overlooking the caldera and enjoy this charming, romantic island

Monday, Sept 28 - Patmos - Tour Included

  • This serene Greek island is known as the site of the Apostle John’s apocalyptic revelation, written here during his exile from the Roman Empire  

  • We’ll visit the 11th century monastery of Saint John and the Grotto of the Apocalypse, the site of the cave where John was believed to have lived and received the revelation of the end times 

  • Free time for shopping in the port of Patmos or just relax onboard ship before we set sail

Tuesday, Sept 29 - Bodrum - Tour Included

  • Bodrum is a charming and sophisticated Turkish resort on the Aegean coast  

  • Here our tour will take us to explore Bodrum Castle, a 15th century crusader castle once known as the medieval castle of St. Paul, and now home to the Museum of Underwater Archaeology with remains dating back to the Bronze Age  

  • In Bodrum you’ll also find King Mausolu’s Tomb from the 4th century, another one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and where we derive the word mausoleum

  • Bodrum has some great shopping in the local markets

Wednesday, Sept 30 - Kusadasi/Ephesus - Tour Included

  • As we go ashore in this Turkish village we’ll take a bus to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world and one of the most well-known New Testament churches established by Paul on his second missionary journey. From Ephesus the gospel spread throughout most of Asia  

  • You’ll marvel at the ruins they’ve uncovered including temples, fountains, theaters and the Library of Celsus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World  

  • We’ll worship together in the theater and imagine what it was to have lived here in the time of Paul  

  • In the afternoon we’ll be free to explore Kusadasi for some shopping or return to the ship for some watersports or relaxing before we set sail

Thursday, Oct 1 - Dikili/Pergamum - Tour Included

  • Upon our arrival in the port town of Dikili, Turkey we will board buses that will take us 16 miles inland for our tour of ancient Pergamum  

  • Well known for being one the Seven Churches of Revelations, Pergamum was a rich and powerful Greek city once considered the major cultural center of the Greek world

  • The Great Altar of Pergamum is considered one of the greatest surviving monuments from antiquity and it’s now housed in the Pergamum Museum in Berlin. This altar is thought by many scholars to be the “Throne of Satan” that John referred to in the Book of Revelations

  • Its library was said to rival the great library in Alexandria, Egypt and in the 2ndcentury Pergamon became known as a center for ancient medicine

Friday, Oct 2 - Mykonos - Free Day

  • We arrive at Mykonos, one the more picturesque of all the Greek Islands. Sprinkled with white-washed houses, a colorful harbor, landmark windmills and a variety of narrow shopping streets that wind their way through town  

  • This charming and quintessential Greek island is filled with quaint shops and seaside taverns. It will be one of your favorite stops for taking in the richness and beauty of modern Greek culture

Saturday, Oct 3 - Athens and Farewell

  • Today we’ll bid farewell to the crew of the Star Flyer as we disembark early in the morning and transfer to the Athens airport to make our connections back to the US

  • Disembarkation from 8am to 9am

  • No airline departures should be booked before noon
