Scotland Extension Itinerary
June 5 - 9, 2025
Baird Tours is offering its clients on the 10-night Atlas cruise from London to Glasgow a post-cruise extension to explore Edinburgh, the Scottish Highlands, the Isle of Skye and the famous Loch Ness.
Friday, June 5th
After Disembarkation in Glasgow from the World Traveller we will travel by train to Edinburgh and have a free afternoon to wander its historic streets or visit sites such as Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Arthur’s Seat and Holyrood Palace.
Saturday, June 6th
Our tour begins with an early departure from Edinburgh. We first travel through central Scotland and into the Highlands. We will pass through some of Scotland’s most iconic scenery; the desolate moorlands of Ranoch Moor and Glencoe. A very historic region. We will then visit the Highlands town of Fort William.
Sunday, June 7th
Enjoy a full day exploring the Isle of Skye. Enjoy sights such as the Cuillin Mountains and then the Trotternish Peninsula which contains some of the most striking landscapes in Scotland. While there we will stop for photographs at The Kilt Rock, Mealt Waterfall and The Old Man of Storr. We will also visit the colorful town of Portree.
Monday, June 8th
We begin our day by visiting the most famous loch in the entire world… Loch Ness. It’s also one of Scotland’s largest, so large that every other lake and river in England and Wales could fit in with room to spare. We’ll explore the famous battlefield of Culloden, site of the last stand of the Jacobites against the British government forces on 16 April 1746. We will end the day wandering the picturesque HIghland town of Pitlochry. Before we return to Edinburgh
Tuesday, June 9th
Depart form the Edinburgh airport for our flights back to America.
